EVIL MESSAGE ...(A Rorne Tan Short Film 2008)
This was my second experimental short film filmed last year 2008 with only a single digital DV camera without any lighting or audio recording device. My niece, Celine Tan, helped me by becoming my actress with the assistance of her friend, Ogawa Tetsuo. Both done a pretty good job in terms of acting in this horror flick despite there was no script nor rehearsal but only my direction deriving from my personal instinct!

EVIL VIBES (Vol 1)...(A Rorne Tan Short Film 2008)

This was my first short film shot in day time last year. I was trying to create horror by shooting scenes in day time not following the conventional night shoots. Acted by Jennifer Pang, it was a memorable shoot that lasted only a day (in one hot afternoon) that made me ventured into a path of becoming a professional film maker.

EVIL VIBES (Vol 2)...(A Rorne Tan Short Film 2009)

This is a second series of EVIL VIBES. It's in volume 2 with a different story. This time the sound effects and special effects are much better not to mention a brilliant story line without any preparation, scripts nor rehearsals. All done in a sponstaneous filming out from a simple holiday trip to Perak caves in November 2009 with Jennifer Pang, Lydia Lee & Kent Ng. So have fun watching this short film.

 SHORT FILM (2010)
HORROR at 3AM (Chapter 1)


This is also another spontaneous shoot. On that day, Ellisan and Alicia did their make up and dressed in their rugged leather wear ready to act for "The Bloodsisters" outdoor scene but unfortunately it rained quite heavily. So we decided to shoot "Horror at 3AM". That is why you could see Alicia & Ellisan heavy make-up in this film. Anyway, this non-planned shoot is always better than the planned ones. In this horror scene, Alicia did a good job portraying a lost and frightened mental patient who was haunted by an evil female ghost. Ellisan acted as the doctor in helping her. For Ellisan, she did a fine acting in creating horror when she walked and moved like the trade-mark Korean horror ghost with a long hair. So enjoy watching this short film.

HORROR at 3AM (Chapter 2)

Some of the scenes are actually not part of the planned shoot. The scenes on 1st Night is actually consists of free shooting videos of Jennifer Pang feeling bore while waiting for her next shoot. Her boring facial expression was ideal to project a mental patient having heard voices at 3 A.M. Another thing to note is that (it has been my childhood knowledge) if you put yourself upside down, you will definitely look like someone else and a ghost. So I had used the same trick here in this film and it worked pretty well in the dark. No one could guess that the upside down ghost on the bed was actually acted by the actress herself, Jennifer Pang. In conclusion, this is the finest of the horror films I had made so far. And already I have an idea of how Chapter 3 would be like. This time it will be more horrifying than both Chapter 1 and 2 put together. At the mean time, enjoy watching this short film.

The BLOODSISTERS (Scene 3...continued)
This is second part of Scene 3. It's the latest video with a lot of machine guns, shot guns and clicking sound effects. Acted by dedicated and well known cast including 2 first timers. They are Ellisan Tan, Alicia Tan, Angela Tan, Magdalene Yee and Mohd Zulkarnain.
After this scene, it will be a bigger shoot with better preparation for the upcoming scene 4 where it will involve several harley davidson bikes, female bikers, fighting sequence and lots more. Can't wait to get it all ready for the shoot.
